I needed new shoes, so I headed out to the Nike outlet. My feet are *strange* and the Nike Free shoes are the only shoes that make it so I don’t get foot cramps. While at the check out they had something called hatphones that normally sold for $55 (now$29.90 at the footlocker link provided), foronly $1.97. Now, I am pretty sure I don’t have a use for them, but… Yes. I hadto buy a hatphone. I should have bought all three of them and sold them on ebay for $10 + shipping and made a profit.
Now then, News. I am so surprised that there has been no news about the Olympics, at least, nothing amazingly eye catching like there usually is. No huge McDonald’s campaign with pictures all over the windows… First there was the bars banning black people and mongolians confusion, since the underground crime in China is largely mongolian apparently and they consider mongolians to be black. Now there is Jiang Yuyan, the supposedly 14 year old gymnast who is magically old enough to compete because she has a passport that says she is. I must say, China is making this interesting with all the speculation about what is really going on… it’s just a shame that this is the most exciting thing about the olympics and they are starting in less than a month.
Now, on to my Mac. I have an iMac G5 iSight. Needless to say it is old. However, for those two months apple was making the iMac G5 iSight, it was the best compter they were making. So, now it has 1.5 gigs of RAM and the updated OS, but still no intel chip. It is 2.1Ghz, with a 250gig hard drive, etc etc. It is a good computer. They still sell computers that are slower than it for $1000… refurbished from apple. It just can’t do a lot anymore all because of the silly Intel chip. That makes me… very very sad. Needless to say, I can’t use the SDK and make iPhone apps… that was to be my hobby for the rest of the year, and now I need to come up with a new one.
