I worked at Trace as a freelancer from April 2005-August 2008. Below, I have included some samples of the work I did while I was there.
About Trace
TRACE is a TRANSCULTURAL Styles and Ideas magazine, a new expression in culture documenting the impact of the interconnected worlds of music, fashion, film, art, politics on today’s multiethnic youth.
Black Girls Rule!
Black Girls Rule 2005, I wrote a short piece appearing in the magazine.
BuzzTrackers
BuzzTrackers were specialized trend reports to I created at Trace for a specific client in the beverage industry. The goal was to give the client insight in to what was happening in the transcultural market place at that point in time. All BuzzTrackers included imagery and were encoded as an HTML newsletter. With each news letter, a selected group of “Tracers” (a different group for each report) gave insight into consumer acceptance of the new trends that were emerging.
My Responsibilities: Researching, Writing, Sourcing Imagery, Selecting Market Research Candidates, Interviewing Market Reasearch Candidates, HTML Encoding.

WireFrames & Trace Terrazine
In 2006 I was tasked with leading the effort to launch a redesign Trace website that was more in line with what was happening in the internet space at the time. The goal of the site was to raise brand awareness, and be a comprehensive location for people to be a part of the transcultural community online. In order to expedite this effort, I created a wireframe to give to design firms a framework to work with. I also created the logo, taking in elements from the already existing Trace logo.
The launch of the new website was to coincide with the introduction of Trace Terrazine. Terrazine was to be the online destination for the transcultural community online. I created an online blogging community as part of the intiative and was also responsible for the news updates in the Terrazine new section and the overall brand direction.
